What you can report, and what we will not allow.

What you can report

• First-hand observations of incidents in public spaces: theft, property damage, suspicious activity, safety hazards
• Infrastructure failures: road damage, lighting outages, waste hazards, broken utilities
• Emergency events: fire, flooding, public safety emergencies
• Reports about missing or damaged property

What is not allowed

• Content that identifies, names, or photographs individuals as perpetrators or suspects
• False or fabricated reports
• Harassment of a specific person or property owner
• Discriminatory content targeting individuals based on ethnicity, religion, gender, or other protected characteristic
• Doxxing: sharing home addresses, phone numbers, or identifying details about private individuals
• Sexual content of any kind
• Content involving minors that could identify them
• Reports designed to retaliate against a specific neighbor
• Spam or commercially motivated content

Sensitive report categories

Reports in the following categories are subject to elevated governance and are never displayed publicly:

• ⚠ Gender-based violence
• ⚠ Missing persons
• ⚠ Incidents involving children

These reports are reviewed by trained moderators and routed only to appropriate partner agencies under governance agreements.

How to report inappropriate content

1. Long-press or open the three-dot menu on the report, reaction, or comment
2. Select 'Report this content'
3. Choose a reason: False report / Harassment / Discriminatory content / Spam / Other
4. Add an optional note (up to 200 characters)
5. Submit — our moderation team will review within 48 hours

How quickly we respond

Appealing a moderation decision

If your content was removed or your account was restricted, you can appeal by emailing [email protected] with your account phone number and a description of the content. We will respond within 14 days.

Anonymity and moderation

Anonymous reports are moderated by the same standards as identified reports. Anonymity protects your identity — it does not exempt your report from removal if it violates these guidelines.

Enforcement

Gorebet reserves the right to remove content that violates these guidelines, with or without advance notice. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent termination.
